Day 1: Arrival at Jorge Chávez International Airport, Lima.

Contact person and assistance at the international airport, transfer to your hotel. Stay-over in Lima.

Day 2: Lima – Trujillo City Tour. Plane 1h 10. Private bus and on foot.

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for the airport and arrival in Trujillo. Assistance and reception at the airport. Start of the City Tour: Plaza de Armas (main square), the Cathedral, the Carmen and San Francisco Churches, the colonial houses Urquiaga and Enmancipación. Continuing with a visit to Chan Chan, the biggest mud citadel of the world, capital of the Chimu. We will then go to the Pacific Ocean to walk over the beach of Huanchaco and watch the “little bulrush horses”, vessels for artisanal fishing. Lunch in Huanchaco. In the afternoon, a visit to the Sun and Moon temples, the archeological remains of the pre-Inca Moche. Return to the city and relax in the hotel. Stay-over in Trujillo.

Day 3: Trujillo – Chiclayo. Bus 1h30.

Breakfast at the hotel. Early in the morning, we´ll leave for Chiclayo by the Panamerican Highway North. Lunch in Chiclayo. In the afternoon, there´s a walk along the beaches of Chiclayo and the local fishing ports. Visit to the village of Monsefú, distinguished for its cotton crafts. Stay-over in Chiclayo.

Day 4: Chiclayo City Tour. By bus and on foot.

Breakfast at the hotel. We start the day with a visit to the Archeological Complex of Tucume that consists of huacas or worshipping centres for the Lambayeque. Next, we´ll visit the Museum of the Royal Tombs of Lord Sipán where the house emblems belonging to this leader are exposed and whose mausoleum was protected from the tomb robbers. Lunch in Chiclayo. In the afternoon, we´ll visit the Archeological Complex of Sicán in the middle of a petrified forest. Return to the city. Stay-over in Chiclayo.

Day 5: Chiclayo – Chachapoyas. By bus 9h.

After breakfast, we´ll leave for the noth-east of the country heading for Chachapoyas, capital of the Amazonas department. We will go through the Andes mountain range on the west and the east, and cross the Porculla pass at 2000 m. high; we´ll go through the departments of Piura and Cajamarca. On the way, we´ll see valleys, Andean villages and we´ll notice the economic activities they develop. Lunch box on the way. Towards the end of the trajectory, descent to the “eyebrow of the jungle” where we will see another type of flora and fauna. In the afternoon, arrival in Chachapoyas. Relax in the hotel. Dinner and stay-over in the Chachapoyas Valley.

Day 6: Kuelap. Bus and cable car.

After breakfast, we will get on our way to the Archeological Complex of Kuelap, a pre-Inca fortified citadel that belonged to the Chachapoyas or “men of the clouds”´. Although it was discovered half a century before Machu Picchu, the excavations and archeological studies only recently rendered it important and interesting. Lunch box. Return to the hotel. Dinner and stay-over in the Chachapoyas Valley.

Day 7: Chachapoyas Valley – Hike to Revash.

Breakfast at the hotel and start of the excursion to Revash. It is an uphill walk of about 25 minutes; the aim is to get to the funeral center situated in the upper part of the steep flank of a mountain in the valley of Utcubamba. The funeral complex stood the test of time preserving its colours and decorations with geometrical figures, animals representing ancient Andean camels and their hunters at the time. Lunch box. Return to the hotel. Dinner and stay-over in the Chachapoyas Valley.

Day 8: Chachapoyas – Cajamarca. Bus – 5h.

Following breakfast at the hotel, we will take another route to return to the mountain range of the country to get to Cajamarca. We will cross the Andes coming across various villages and Andean hamlets, different types of habitats, agricultural and livestock production systems and the Marañon canyon. Lunch box on the way. By the end of the day, arrival in Cajamarca and relax in the hotel. Dinner and stay-over in Cajamarca.

Day 9: Cajamarca City Tour. Bus and on foot.

Breakfast at the hotel. Start of the City Tour, we will go to the outskirts of the city to get to know the so called Windows of Otuzco, which was a funeral centre on the slope of a cliff. Lunch in Cajamarca. In the afternoon, visit to the centre of Cajamarca: the Plaza de Armas (main square), the Cathedral, the San Francisco Church and colonial mansions. We will get to know the habitation of the rescue of Inca Atahualpa, the religious complex of Belén. Then we will be heading for the viewpoint of Santa Apolonia from where we will sight the city. Lunch in Cajamarca. Free afternoon to walk through the centre of the city. Stay-over in Cajamarca.

Day 10: Cajamarca – Lima. Plane 1 h.

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for the airport and arrival in Lima. Lunch or lunch box according to the flight Schedule. Assistance and formalities to your international flight.
