Day 1: Arrival at Jorge Chávez International Airport, Lima.

Contact person and assistance at the international airport, transfer to your hotel. Tasting of our flag cocktails the “Pisco Sour”. Stay-over in Lima. Hotel Belmont Miraflores Park Plaza.

 Day 2: Lima City Tour – Gold Museum of Peru. Private bus and on foot.

Breakfast at the hotel.  Visit to the colonial centre of Lima: San Martin Square, Union Road, the main square (Plaza de Armas), Presidential Palace and visit the Cathedral. Then, we will visit the San Francisco Convent and its catacombs. Then, we will discover a colonial hacienda house, La Casa Hacienda “Los Ficus” where we will also appreciate a presentation of Peruvian horses. Lunch at Casa Hacienda Los Ficus. In the afternoon, we´ll visit Gold Museum of Peru and then we will continue to Barranco district. Dinner and welcoming cocktail at Huaca Pucllana Restaurant. Stay-over in Lima. Hotel Belmont Miraflores Park Plaza.

Día 2: City tour de Lima. Bus.

Desayuno en el hotel. Inicio del día en el centro histórico de Lima. Visita de la  Plaza de Armas, rodeada del arzobispado, el Palacio de gobierno, la Municipalidad y la Catedral que la visitaremos. Iremos al convento de San Francisco para visitarlo y descubrir sus catacumbas. Then, we will visit The House of Peruvian Gastronomy where you will discover a series of flavors from the pre-Hispanic epoch to the present. Lunch at the “Central Restaurant”. Fourth best restaurant in the world. In the afternoon, we´ll visit Gold Museum of Peru and then we will continue to the bohemian Barranco district and will go to the little port of Chorrillos. Dinner and welcoming cocktail at Huaca Pucllana Restaurant. Stay-over in Lima. Hotel Belmont Miraflores Park Plaza. 

Day 3: Lima – Cusco (3400 m.) City Tour. Plane – 1h.

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to the airport and arrival in Cusco. Lunch in “La Cicciolina” Restaurant. In the afternoon, there´s a walk through the centre: the Plaza de Armas, a visit to the Cathedral and the Sun Temple or Koricancha. In the surroundings of the city, we´ll visit the fortress of Puca Pucara, the water temple Tambomachay, the temple of the Pachamama, Quenco, and the megalithic ceremonial site of Saqsaywaman. Visit of disctict of San Blas. Dinner and stay-over in Cusco. Hotel Inkaterra La Casona. 

Day 4: Cusco – Sacred Valley (2300m) – Ollantaytambo – Yucay (2800m). Bus.

Breakfast at the hotel. We´ll go to the Sacred Valley, so called because of its fertile soils. We´ll visit the arts´ and crafts´ market of Pisac, where some people are still using bartering. Lunch in “El Huacatay” Restaurant. After lunch, we´ll visit the village and fortress of Ollantaytambo. Reception and relaxing at the hotel. Dinner and stay-over in the Sacred Valley. Hotel Inkaterra La Hacienda.

Day 5: Ollantaytambo – Machu Picchu Town (2000m).  Belmond Hiram Bingham train. 1h30.

Breakfast at the hotel. We will take a bus and arrive to Ollantaytambo train station where we´ll take the train that will get us to the village of Machu Picchu (1,5 hour distance). Reception and relaxing at the hotel. Lunch at “El Indio Feliz” Restaurant. After lunch, we will have the opportunity to explore on foot and observe the impressive variety of orchids in the Sanctuary. Dinner and stay-over in Machu Picchu town. Hotel Inkaterra Machu Picchu.

Day 6: Aguas Calientes – Puerta del Sol – Machu Picchu – Yucay. Belmond Hiram Bingham Train.

Breakfast at the hotel. Early departure from the hotel to climb towards Machu Picchu. At the place, we will start an ascending walk to get the Puerta del Sol and then to back to visit the citadel of Machu Picchu, sighting the agricultural zone, accomodations, temples, canals, wellsprings and plazas of that epoch. Duration of visit between 2,5 and 3 hours. Lunch at “Tampu” Restaurant. Return to Aguas Calientes and then to Ollantaytambo. Reception and transfer to the hotel in the Sacred Valley. Dinner and stay-over in the Sacred Valley. Hotel Inkaterra La Hacienda.

Day 7: Sacred Valley – Maras – Moray – Chinchero – Cusco. Bus.

Breakfast at the hotel. At the Sacred Valley, we will get to know the salt mines of Maras composed of over a 3000 salt terraces dating from the Inca times. Then we will continue to the Amphitheater of Moray or an agricultural searching Inca center. Lunch at Kuychi Restaurant. In the afternoon, visit of Chincheros, a village Incas. We will also visit an artisanal textile center, where they explain the spinning process and the origin of the coloration in the tissues. Return to Cuzco. Dinner at the “Map Café” Restaurant. Stay-over in Cusco. Hotel Inkaterra La Casona.

Day 8: Cusco – Lima – Iquitos – Amazon River Cruise. Airplane 1h00 and 1h50, riverboat.

Breakfast at the hotel, departure to the airport, arrival in Lima. Contact and assistance for connecting flight to Iquitos, the capital of the Peruvian Amazon. In Iquitos, a guide of The Delfín II Cruise will welcome us and will take us to start our experience. Navigation through the Amazon River, the longest river in the world, observation of vegetation and sunset. Lunch and dinner on board. Night on Cruise Delfín II.

Day 9: Amazon River – Excursion in Tahuayo River – Yacapana Island. Cruise.

Wake up with a beautiful view of the sunrise on the Amazon River. Then, we will take a tropical breakfast with a great variety of flavors. Excursion: we will board a boat to use the fishing equipment. We will penetrate an affluent of the Amazon, the Tahuayo River and then fish in Charo Lake. During this relaxing moment, our guide will explain us the history of the lake and its inhabitants. Return to the boat. Lunch on board. In the afternoon, visit of Yacapana Island or “Isla de las Iguanas” and we will have a meeting with the community. In the middle of the afternoon, we will return to the ship and continue our trip upstream, to the confluence of the Ucayali and Marañón rivers, tributaries of the Amazon. Dinner on board. Night on Cruise Dolphin II.

Day 10: Marañón River – Pacaya Samiria National Reserve. Cruise.

Breakfast on board. Excursion: on land, your guide will take you to the meeting of the producers of oil palm, then will also show you the artificial nests of turtles, created to protect the eggs of these reptiles. We will continue our excursion in virgin forest and discover there a particularly wild life. Lunch on the boat. Excursion: we will descend from the boat to discover and know the habitat of dolphins, caimans and monkeys. Dinner on board. Night on Cruise Dolphin II.

Day 11: Ucayali River – Yurucuche Lake – Village of Puerto Prado – Nauta – Lima.

Breakfast on board. We will begin our day, navigating in the Ucayali River. Excursion: on land, we will go to the Yurucuche Lake and we will know the largest aquatic plant in the world, the “Victoria Real”. During the expedition, the boat crosses the boundaries of the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve to later reach Puerto Prado village, a place inhabited by natives, where we will can interact with them. Lunch on board. In the afternoon, we will go to the Iquitos airport to finally arrive to Lima. Reception, assistance and transfer to your hotel in Miraflores. Dinner at the restaurant “Astrid y Gastón”. Stay-over in Lima. Hotel Belmond Miraflores Park Plaza.

Day 12: Lima – Jorge Chávez International Airport. Destination of origin.

Breakfast at hotel. Free day to walk or shop in Miraflores. Lunch according to flight schedule. Departure to the International Airport.
